Marian wasn't entirely sure what was going on with her. She hoped it was nothing more than a bug that simply refused to go away. But part of her feared that she'd be taken away from her little family. Part of her feared that it might be the flu that had killed Robin, only acting slower in this case. What would happen if it were? She shot off a message informing Doctor Cuddy that she was on her way, once Robin had brought the plant she had needed. She'd dressed in a loose shift like gown. Something that had come in her wardrobe when she'd arrived. It was light, summer material and something she usually doubled with a corset over, but she neglected the boned constraint this time. She felt far to stiff and bloated to even attempt the ties. She'd been half tempted to come in her bed clothes. It took twice as long as it normally would have to walk to the hospital. But she hadn't the energy to make the trip in one go, and stopped whenever her body plead that she do. When she reached the front doors, she smiled at the Doctor. "I'm sorry it took me so long. I hope you haven't kept you waiting." |
