She needed to clear her head. To just let everything go and try to get herself straightened out. Getting drunk wasn't doing anything but pissing Sarah off. She had pretty much alienated herself from everyone that cared about her. She felt completely alone in the world. And she knew it was a fucking lie. But she was going to be absolutely no use to anyone while she still held on to everything in her past. While she still dwelt on the stupid things she'd done. On the ridiculous girl she'd become. She was nearly thirty years old, it was time to grow the fuck up. The only thing that ever managed to make her feel better, though, was dancing. She lost herself in the music and just let her body have control and her mind relax. It helped her focus. Helped bring clarity. So that's what she was going to do. She dressed in a sports bra and yoga pants as she always did when she danced. She didn't care who saw that scars all over her abdomen and back. She just wanted to clear her head. She went up to the sound booth and scrolled through the songs on her iPod, finally finding the perfect one. It spoke of everything she was feeling at that moment. At least in regard to her past relationship. And it was something she could dance to. She took the remote to the sound system with her and headed down to the stage. She hit play and then just closed her eyes as the music started. The music blared loud enough that she couldn't hear herself think, which was what she wanted. With the doors standing open it could probably be heard anywhere in vicinity. |
