Steve chuckled softly, "I'm pretty sure only you could burn bone." he kept up his teasing tone, knowing that it was really just something familiar. Peggy was there to take care of him, Steve was there to make him feel like Bucky again. "It takes a special skill to do that." He got out another knife and set it in front of Bucky, doing his very best to ignore the way his hand hesitated just half a second and his spine shivered. This was Bucky, his Bucky, the way he remembered him, not that man on the street who'd fought him with a knife not so long ago. In his mind at least. "I know you know how to peel these." He pushed some potatoes toward him and sat back in the chair next to Peggy, picking up his own knife and starting in on the cabbage.
