It was time for hunting. While she only ate meat occasionally, Seddrinth did not mind hunting for Banshee. She could move more easily than he could and she thought for sure that she was faster than he was. But that might have been just a matter of pride.
She had her sights on a rabbit casually grazing in a clearing when she heard the loud roar. She knew that sound. It was the beast that she'd seen in the caves. The one that had nearly gotten her. And now it seemed to have a prey. Even though the air was heavy, she took off, knowing that she could fly faster than she could walk through the trees.
She saw the creature attacking a man and she dove, digging her claws into the thing's back. It was the one that she had burned. The creature howled in pain and tried to throw her off. Seddrinth flew out of its reach and then attacked again, claws out. She would have scorched it but she was afraid of burning the man accidentally. As she flew off a second time, the creature managed to get a swipe at one of her wings, gashing it. She roared in pain and hit the ground. When the creature moved far enough away from the man, she burned him yet again. The creature howled in pain once more before taking off into the woods. Seddrinth moved close to the man, trying to keep him as safe as possible, ignoring her own wound in the mean time.
