As usual, McKay was barely paying attention to whether there were people around him, his attention firmly on the scans. He hated this place. When Sheppard had been around it had been at least a little bearable, especially after the whole nightmare thing. But now, now it was back to nothing to do and too many people with problems and being happy and whatever the hell else he didn't care about. He was always better with something to work on. At least even when not off-world, Atlantis kept him busy enough with its systems and exploring, finding out all her secrets.
