"Thank you, JARVIS," Marta said with a quick glance around to see if she could speak at anything, but the voice just seemed to be there with no real point of origin. Shrugging, she walked on into the elevator while Jake thanked the AI as well but in Na'vi. Moving over to one side, she had originally thought the elevator was quite big, but then Jake got in and crouched down, taking up a lot of space even with him trying to fold himself in even tighter as the doors closed and the elevator began to move. Still, it couldn't be helped.
"Tommy's been giving me advice on how to get a good scan," Jake told her, being careful to keep his arrows away from her, "and he was talking like he reckons this is some sort of field trip."
"Oh, well, I can see why he'd be interested, yes. I mean, I'm sure he's used to studying the differing physiology between your Avatar and full Na'vi, but I don't know if he'll have done anything to this level of detail. Not that it won't have been done already, but Tom's specialized in plants, correct? So while he's obviously got some knowledge on your unique anatomy, I don't think it'll be quite as in-depth as we're about to go. I'm surprised he's not with you, actually."
"Uh, I didn't ask him if he wanted to come along. I just told him I was going," Jake replied with a shrug. "I'll ask Tony if he'll share the stuff with him, though. That'll keep him happy."
Just at that point, the lift came to a halt, and the doors slid open. Marta shifted her grip on her notes and walked out, followed soon after by Jake.
