Who: Marta and Aaron Where: Their house What: It's Aaron's unbirthday! When: Wednesday afternoon Rating: Low Open: No Status: WIP
Marta could cook, and she could bake. She wasn't amazing at it, but neither did people turn their nose up at her food. Her mom had insisted that both her girls could cook healthy nutritious and tasty meals, and that they could make cake and desserts and the like for when healthy nutritious food could go hang.
Marta was also a firm believer in celebrating birthdays, even if it was nothing more than a cupcake with a candle in it left on someone's desk at teabreak or lunchtime. So Aaron's steadfast refusal to provide his birthdate was confusing and a little annoying, if she was honest. He rarely asked for anything, and she wanted one day on which she could spoil him utterly with a legitimate reason for doing so. Since he was refusing to cooperate, she decided that she was going to do something anyway, but since she had no date to work with, she'd just spread it out over a lot of days. Lots of little somethings that didn't have to have a reason at all if she was asked.
And so, she was busy making carrot cake cupcakes. Aaron loved carrot cake, but the sudden appearance of a whole cake just after their discussion on the network would be a bit suspicious. Cupcakes somehow seemed less so. The kitchen smelled of ginger and cinnamon, nutmeg and orange zest, and she had a bowl full of grated carrots ready to be added to the cake batter. She even had slightly over-ambitious plans to make tiny little carrots out of frosting.
