Who: Steve and Amelie'
When: Valentines Day
Where: The Park
What: Picnic in the park.

Steven was really happy that Amelie had agreed to go out with him on Valentines Day. He really wanted her to be his girlfriend, which was surprising because he mostly didn't do the whole relationship thing because he was more interested in just dating and not being tied down. But there was something about her that just made him smile all the time. He would even talk to his mother about her, and that made his mother smile as well. Knowing that Amelie was changing him into a better man because he wanted to be with her. He got her a bouquet of flowers and also a teddy bear with a heart that had chocolate in it. He was all set. He knew that she was bringing the food and he was bringing the wine. So he grabbed the best bottle and a couple of glasses.

He kissed his mom on the cheek and then headed on out to the park. When he got there, he set the blanket down neatly and sat the wine and glasses next to him. He sat her gifts on the blanket as well. Steven was really nervous about this, what if she didn't feel the same way that he did? HE hoped that she would want to be his girlfriend after this. He was happy and she made him happy. So then he just sat there and waited for her to arrive.

Amélie had worn one of her favourite dresses, in case they chose to stop by the wedding reception after their picnic. She put her jean jacket over it to keep warm and a dragonfly belt that her mother would have liked. She added some jewelry to personalize her outfit and decided that the overall lookwas perfect. Her basket was well packed with her and Steve's favourite picnic foods. She spotted Steve easily and walked over to the blanket, setting her basket down. She gave Steve a gentle kiss on the lips. "Hi". She said with a warm smile. No matter what else was happening in her life, he always made her feel happy and cared about.

Steven was dressed in a nice shirt and a pair of khaki pants. No use wearing jeans and a t-shirt on a date like this. He needed to look his best and made sure that he smelled really good too. Thank god for cologne. As he sat there and started thinking about everything, he looked over and saw Amelie walking up and gave him a kiss on his lips. He smiled as he returned it. "Hello. Happy Valentines Day." He said as he handed her a bag that had her gift in it and also handed her the bouquet of flowers as well.

	"Not as amazing as you are." He then felt himself blushing. He laughed, "Wow, that was really corny." He was nervous about this date, he really liked her and so far this was going pretty perfect. "To start with I have a thermos full of soup." Amélie replied, pulling it out of the basket, along with bowls and utensils. "And salad." She added, pulling out a tupperware container of salad, a few wrapped sandwiches and paper plates. "And sandwiches. These ones have turkey and cheddar cheese. And the other ones have beef and swiss cheese. Oh, and I have brownies for dessert."

	"Oh wow, this really looks and smells delicious. Nice choices, I always enjoy soup, salad and sandwiches." He said with a smile as he watched her set everything up. "And brownies are my favorite dessert. My mom used to bake them for me all the time. Brownies with vanilla ice cream on top." Laughing as he remembered. "You did good, can't wait to try everything." 	After he swallowed his bite of his sandwich, he put his thumb up. "That is really good." He said with a smile. "And what I meant was that compared to most of the dates that I've been on with other girls, this one is the best so far." He said as he tried the salad. He was pretty hungry.
