Lacey strode into the bar, went directly up to the counter and ordered her usual. It was a nice reminder of home to be able to end her day with a beer at a pub, even if none of her friends from home were there to share it with her. Her eyes scanned the room and she had to smile when she spotted a man who was also having a beer. If there was one way in which the island was an improvement over her hometown, it was that the men were much better looking on the island. She accepted her drink with a polite 'thank you' to the bartender when it arrived. She took a few sips, before she realized why the good looking man seemed familiar. She walked over to him and gave a warm smile "Hi. I'm Lacey. I think we chatted over the network once. I see you made it through the cold Christmas."
