Amélie glanced at him. "Dammed Americans? You do know you're an American." She pointed out and sighed. He was still acting differently than the father she knew and loved in the future. What was the obsession with kissing Ernest Hemingway and dropping f-bombs? And where did it come from? She might understand him wanting to ask Hemingway questions about his writing process and the like. But this was so strange. And then he was giggling again. Had his illness returned? "Dad, how are you feeling?" She asked, concerned.
Amélie felt another pang of concern. After all she'd seen him drive both in the future - and on his old criminal minds show, which she assumed was what he meant by the real world. "There's no reason for you to be taking lessons or other people's cars." She told him. "I'm sure we could look around the abandoned vehicles and find a smaller car like the ones you're used to driving. We can even find something better than the one you drove all the way out to Gideon's cabin."
