Rhonda wanted to laugh at the "joke" about beans on toast, but - she refrained herself, as she wasn't certain it was a joke, and didn't want to upset Cleo by laughing out of turn, after all...
She smiled instead at the other woman, and gingerly proffered the sentiment, "I mean, if you wanted to - I don't know what Island food is, quite exact, but - well- I think that sounds delicious, especially with your dad's contribution," she added with a soft wink at the other young woman. "I mean -I'd love to go forth and learn some exotic cooking - specially with Bumby's palette, here..." She grinned down at the boy, who was now sniffing tentatively at the lamb shanks, and then - trying to stuff the thing into his mouth whole... "Oh, no, dearheart, don't choke on that, please! I think we've both spent enough time in hospital this week, don't you?"
"Mmph...!" Jacky boy mumbled around his mouthful, in apparent agreement, for he was now attempting to prise the thing out out his mouth- only: it appeared to be stuck behind his front teeth...
"Oh dear Lord, the things I do for you..." Rhonda teased the boy, and set herself to helping him prise the bone of the lamb shank out of his mouth... "The-e-e-re we go...!" She grimaced as she threw the bone into the rubbish bin, and then made to wash her hands, which were of course now covered in toddler drool... Bumby meanwhile, made to chew furiously at the lamb that was left inside his mouth.
