"The island's been known to do that." Cuddy murmured with a nod. An injury of her own had been healed by the island, or at least by one of it's occupants. She couldn't rely on it to happen again though and remained committed to diagnosing and treating her patient.
Cuddy made another note. "I'm sorry to hear that." A family history of depression could be significant, especially if the depression was actually a symptom of another condition. "I don't believe it would help either. We won't give you any shocks." She promised. House had used ECT back in Princeton once, but that was for an isolated and very unusual case. It was not a treatment she would ever normally use.
Cuddy wrote in his file again. Alcohol was likely not the cause of his condition, but it could be a contributing factor, especially since there appeared to be a liver problem. "Excuse me for just a second." She stepped into the hallway and gave the vial of blood to Jason, one of the orderlies, with instructions to take it to the lab for her. She'd run tests later.
She walked back into the room and nodded to Hemingway. "Mr. Hemingway, I'd like to do an MRI next. Do you know that is?"
