Howard looked across at the familiar voice and his smile widened when he saw Steve. He had absolutely no clue as to who Sarah was, but laughed softly. "It's good to see you again too, Steve!" he replied, shaking his hand, resisting the urge to give the man a hug. "And I hate to break it to you, but this you here?" he said, indicating the infant Steve, "will be able to carry you over his shoulder from what I can calculate! Maybe not for a few years, but when fully grown?" He looked between them both and nodded. "Put it this way Peg, you won't be needing to look too far for help carrying the wood for the fire, or bringing the groceries in, though I'm guessing you're going to be going through a few!"
He'd been looking closely into the genetics strains when he had seen Richie from the first time he'd met him, then again all week since he'd returned again, another five years older, and taller still.
