Lacey loved her lunch shift at the diner. It was the closest she'd come to home on her the strange island. She took a vegetable lasagna out of the oven, set it on a plate with a slice of garlic bread and delivered it to one of her customers. If customers was even the right word, when everything was free. On her way back to the kitchen, she passed another 'customer' enjoying a cheeseburger that Lacey had prepared not long ago.
