"Perhaps. I guess we never know where those doors will open to." Lacey stated, wondering if she might see Dog River again. She'd love it, though the rest of the islanders might be bored by the small town.
"England and Egypt? Wow. That must have been so fascinating, there's so much history there." She smiled at what she had just said. "Although, I don't have to tell you that with your parents being Egyptologists." She added quickly. "Can you speak several languages then?" Lacey asked, she herself had taken French as a second language when required in school, but had lost her fluency over the years. And when she needed it, she found she couldn't remember a word. She couldn't imagine having to know even more languages. Lacey gave a nod of agreement as Rae talked. The desert was about as different from Dog River as it could get. "It must be beautiful. I've only seen pictures of the Nile. Gorgeous pictures, but I'm sure they didn't do it justice."
