Halloweeen! Plotish type thing...
If anyone was up and about in the late evening, a full week before Halloween, they would hear the softest, most delicate whispers here and there. Following each soft muttering, a story here, a poem there, sometimes a simple article read from a magazine, decorations would follow. Carved pumpkins, with scary faces. Giant spiders. Ghosts, mummies, skeletons... Of every shape and size decorated the entire city. Shadows painted onto walls, stretching over sidewalks.
Amelia let her imagination run wild, with lights and decor. Even the doors were decorated with scary faces, here and there. Cotton spiderwebs, fake zombies. Anything she could read about, or imagine, write and read seemed to spring up. Turning the place from bland, to Halloween friendly in just an hour or so.
When it was all done, the whispering stopped, and the girl returned to her safe haven. Waiting for a response from all the people she'd brought there.
