Quinn opened his mouth to reply to her but stopped as the world changed around him. "Shit.." he muttered, squeezing his eyes shut for a moment but he knew it was different this time. He felt the deep, icy cold clawing at him. The faint warmth from his link with the Earth energy dwindled to nothing and even his natural strong link to Water diminished.
He swore again softly and turned his head to look at the ocean again and opened his eyes. Sure enough the water was grey and devoid of warmth. No sounds from the living plane could be heard, no sea birds and usually not even the words of people. So, then, why could he still hear Meg's voice... even if it sounded a little different?
Quinn frowned and turned back to her, expecting to not be able to see her as was usual. His eyebrows shot up. Ok, that was different. Quinn was used to what he saw when his vision flickered to the ghostly plane and that was everything that wasn't meant to inhabit the world of the living. Namely, spirits, ghouls, damned souls and demons.
