Quinn blinked several times. Outwardly, it probably appeared as if he was blinking back tears as he thought about his girlfriend. Yes, he was worried, scared, sad and guilty about not being there for her but that wasn't why. He was blinking against the flickering of the world around him. Which was getting worse now. The flickers were getting longer and he figured he didn't have too much longer before he stopped seeing the living plane for a while.
As another shiver went through his body, he turned to look at her again. Her words catching his interest once more. "Really? Someone who's been here a while told me no one's found a way out of here," he said. The prospect of getting out of her was more appealing than anything. If he could get back home, then he could find Cleo. But then there was the more sensible and suspicious part of him that reared up. Dr. Banner had said he had been here a while and he had been adamant that there wasn't a way off the island. He didn't know how long Meg had been here but her mention of a 'rumour' was in direct contrast to what he had already been told. Which he didn't like.
