The businesses in the area, they weren't all that great. This place worked by trade, or just taking what one needed. The day had stretched on far too long, leaving Meg bored out of her mind and tired of the books in her apartment. The internet was not as amusing as she wished it were, everyone here was just so....good. One of these days she was going to vomit from the kindness. So far the worst she had seen, via the communication devices and networks set up in the area, was some business guy with a big overcompensating tower and some burn victim.
The worst she had met was herself.
Standing on the sidewalk, Meg looked up at the sign and then ran a hand through her brown hair, which she had since dyed and tampered with to get rid of the ridiculous blond color. Bastard. Oooh, if she ever got anywhere near Crowley again he was in for it. Looking back, she wished she'd stabbed that knife in his groin, not in his arm. Looking back, she probably should have made like Castiel and blinked out before it was too late. Well, sadly, it was all in the past. Fortunately, she had a new future. This one wasn't half bad, though!
Hands pulling at the front of her leather jacket, Meg took a few steps before turning her head. The sound of heels echoed along the deserted streets and she gave a sigh. Just what I need. For all of a split second she considered ducking into the store and hiding, but that was stupid and she would never hide, especially not from herself when she had nothing to hide. This was all just a big, whacked up misunderstanding. While her "other" self may not have wanted two to tango, this little piglet thought it might not be so bad. Who made the perfect partner in crime but yourself?
Meg resumed looking at the building as if checking out what were inside, rather than disappearing in. She wanted to be seen. Her skinny jeans clung to her shapely figure, a small bump in her pocket from a phone on the rear. A pair of tall black suede boots reached to just below her knee, a plum colored top settled comfortably around her torso, under the jacket. She looked pretty healthy, not injured or toting dangerous scars, though there were a few marks on her neck that could be seen when up close. All in all, her few weeks of "vacation" had been good to her.
