She had come to know the valley well, each tree and vine, frond and bush, as she had worked to start the pocket of plants from her home world. There were only a few, but already their network was starting to form in the tiny corner she'd created. Crouching on the branch she reached she looked down, the faintest of glows able to be perceived by her eyes in the sheltered grove. Her ears twitched, flicking back and forth as she listened to Jake's progress through the valley floor.
