Howard was very seriously trying not to laugh. It was taking an enormous amount of self restraint, which he was not in the habit of using, so it was an exercise of great exertion to keep a straight face as she talked.

Though he did avert his gaze at that moment, choosing it to again survey the surrounds, the salubrious streetscape outside Mitchell's pub. And yet again he could not see anyone else.
"Kansas? It's a place where little girls get swept away by big tornadoes," he explained, taking his jacket back and looking at it for a moment. He did need to see if he could go over to Manhattan and see a tailor there, Tony had mentioned a man's name, and it looked like this was going to be a good motivation for him to do so. "But I can take you to see Applejack, I'm just heading that way anyway."
