She contemplated the contents of her glass and perhaps she wouldn't be quite so forthcoming if she hadn't been half-drunk and whole-lonely. Instead, she teared up and kept her eyes down on the counter. "I shouldn't burden a stranger with my whole mess, Mr Howard." she mumbled and sipped at her cocktail.
If she had been sober, Sook would have just smiled and asked if he wanted pie but the beer and liquor in her stomach was starting to hit, "You ever wake up and feel like there was nobody who'd... miss you? God, that sounds so pathetic, don't it?" she downed some of her harsh drink and shuddered, "I miss my family."
