Rooftop picnic
Howard ran his hand across his chin, scratching at the growth there. He hadn't shaved that morning, when he'd gone out to see Peggy and Steve, and it wasn't feeling too bad. Maybe he'd just stop shaving altogether? After all, not like he had to worry about a corporate image any more, and keeping the board happy.
He walked up the stairs that led to the roof, pushing the door open and squinting a little as his eyes adjusted to the sudden bright sunlight after the dim light inside.
"Ah, Maria!" he murmured happily, seeing where she was perusing her picnic for them. He strolled across the open space, enjoying the sight of her standing there and deciding that maybe things here could actually be better than they were back in his real world.
"What an amazing spread!" he declared as he walked up and slipped an arm around Maria's waist and pressing a kiss to her cheek. "But what else should I expect from an amazing woman!"
