He watched her stand up. "You were never bothering me." House replied honestly. She had been helping him and could only now see exactly how much she had been helping him by the sound of her groan. Pains that they both shared. Only now that he was about to lose her.
Yet House was stubborn and knew that any emotional pain would only be magnified if they were to continue anything they had.
"I'll see you around." Was all he said before limping out the exit. But if House thought he was walking away from a burden, then why did his shoulders feel heavier the further he got from her?
