No.” Peggy swallowed and tried to get him to look into her eyes and see her truthfulness. She’d borne far worse pain and scars than anything he could ever do. “Besides, you know I could have you incapacitated in a moment? You’re not the only one who’s strong but right now the way you are hurting me isn’t physical.” She pulled him in tighter. “I can’t…” she cleared her throat, “I’m scared of how much you’re hiding from me still.
