He'd kept a close eye on her vitals all night. In fact, he couldn't remember sleeping more than an hour of an earlier nap but there was way too much to be scared of, especially knowing she'd had a miscarriage in the second trimester of a previous pregnancy. Bruce liked Calleigh, respected her as a colleague and considered her a friend. If it came down to his fault that she hurt herself even worse, or lost either of her babies, he knew he could never forgive himself. He'd gone through the scans with a fine toothed comb and taken vitals every hour since she came in. Ramses had been more dedicated though, and Bruce had only managed to get him out of the way during physicals and scans.
He was close to letting her go home but needed one more scan of the babies to make sure they were still doing well. Bruce knocked on the door, carrying the portable scanner. "Is this a good time?" he asked, sticking his head through the door.
