Peggy couldn't help but smile warmly at the sight of the beautiful baby in Steve's arms, giving him comfort and seeking it too. Her cheek stung a little but perhaps she deserved it for not picking up on Steve's pain and just watched them both together like they were made to hold one another. It was a beautiful sight. "I think he's hugging you." She whispered, not wanting to break the spell but a little jealous that the baby liked Steve more than her. Or did at that point, at least. Peggy swallowed and put her hand on his knee, squeezing comfortingly. "You're never going to be alone. Look at what you have in your arms and tell me what you see in his face."
