Since she had gotten blasted onto the island, Barbra had found out early on that sleep was not going to be her friend. At least not here. Her mind was filled with confusing thoughts, most of them about the island, and others... those were best to be kept to herself until she could figure those out. In the meantime, sleep just did not seem to be on her list. Especially when her mind went overtime most nights.
So when she had the nights where she could not sleep, she had taken to the streets of the island and getting herself better acquainted with it. Or at least trying to as much as she possibly could. There was also the fact that while walking her thoughts kept drifting to Dick and the fact that he did not remember her and she did. It pained her that the one person she let her guard down with did not remember who she was. And she knew she had to talk to him but that was easier said then done. That was one of the many things that kept her up all night, and with no outlet, how was it to be resolved?
Tonight happened to be one of those nights. She made sure to be quiet so as to not disturb anyone who may be sleeping as she walked by the many houses and buildings. Some were lit, others weren't. Even so she tried the best of her ability to be considerate. As she walked, there was a book in her hands and she read it as she did so. With a memory like hers, it was easy for her to walk and read and have an idea of where she was headed. She did get the sense she was being watched, and gazed over her shoulder every so often. Shaking her head, she looked down at her book again, the light of the moon shining on the long red tresses of her hair as she walked along the street.
