Ramses stood up carefully as well, but stayed put where he was as Gatsby slowly moved away. If they both moved without knowing how much slack they had both of them could be on their rear ends again in no time at all.
He watched intently as the distance between them grew, and then let out a breath he didn't realize he was holding when Gatsby could move no further. Damn.
