Hemingway couldn't imagine fighting a woman, but there was a first time for everything. She was apparently willing and able, and he'd never doubted that a woman could possess the courage and determination of any man. Whether or not they could compare in physical strength, he really wasn't sure. But perhaps they could be pretty evenly matched, considering she was skilled in a martial art with which he wasn't familiar. He would take any opponent he could get, truthfully. He'd been writing too much, and he had too much pent-up energy. He needed to work some of it off before he would be able to do some good work again.
He'd found some loose fitting clothing that was more suitable for sport, and headed down to where he'd heard Steve mention there was a gymnasium. It was very different from any gym he'd seen before. He couldn't figure out what half the contraptions were meant to do, and without any electricity in the gym, he would be hard pressed to figure it out on his own. Not that he knew they were meant to be powered by electricity.
Still, he wasn't going to need any of that equipment. There were gloves, mats, sturdy looking pads- it would do perfectly well.
