She wanted to be there for all her friends and she wasn’t quite sure what it was that Steve needed her advice on but Peggy was always more than willing to give out what advice she could. Maybe it was in her nature to offer tea and sympathy or an empathetic ear but she quite enjoyed it, at least. Peggy adored both Steves and knew that it was difficult for them both in different ways but she would always want to be there for both of them, even if she ended up getting hurt too. It didn’t matter to her in the long run.
That morning, she straightened out the house and made allergy-free cookies for Steve as well as put a pot of tea on just before he was due. She smoothed down her skirt as she went to the door, dressed in some of her old 1940’s garb as she opened the entrance. “Hello.” She smiled, “Right on time, as always. Come in.” she stepped aside to let him in.
