Who? Gatsby & Eames
Where? Gatsby's mansion, pool house.
When? After Gatsby sings to Nick.
What? Talking about other people's wives.
Status? Closed, ongoing.
Rating? Potentially high for talking about things of a sexual nature. Possible homophobia TW.
His conversation with Eames on the network had been really very enlightening. The input that people had to give him about the way the world had changed since his time- it was overwhelming. So, it wasn't illegal to engage in homosexual relationships. It wasn't considered a disease. There was no law against interracial marriage. Things had progressed, and Gatsby wanted to catch up. Intellectually, he could. But it was difficult to just shake off your upbringing over night.
But he was interested to talk more with Eames, to get his point of view on things.
Despite the warmth of the day, Gatsby was in a full suit. It was a light blue, and a cool material, but it still came with all of the accessories that would be expected of a 1920s man.
He'd set them up in the pool house. The glass doors were all thrown open out onto the pool, the curtains dancing in the gentle breeze. Tea things were set up inside, a much nicer spread now that he had all of his own things to prepare with. He knew that Eames didn't expect it from him, but there was no harm in giving his friend a nice spot of tea.
