A movement from the corner of her eyes caught Elena's attention. And she couldn't keep from tensing as her mirror image strode directly up to her. The only thing that kept her from trying to leave was the knowledge that Katherine could easily stop and hurt her if she wanted to.
Arms crossed, a bit uneasily. Large dark eyes studied the vampire as she spoke, the venom present, as always in her tone. "I didn't mean to play either of them," Elena corrected. She wouldn't bother to comment on Katherine's description of her as boring. They had different tastes and, while Katherine might view her as boring, Elena certainly didn't find the vampire's tastes appealing.
"Unlike you, I feel guilty about my actions." Perhaps it wasn't the smartest thing to say. Especially to someone who would kill her without a second thought, but the wound was still raw for Elena as much as it was for Damon.
