Always on the look out for a good time and a relief from her constant plague of boredom, Katherine lingered outside one of the many cafes on the island. A cup of pumpkin spice latte was cupped in her hands though the warmth was not really necessary; as a vampire, Katherine no longer felt the changes in temperature. She really wasn't a fan of the caffinated beverage, but you couldn't really lounge at a coffee shop without nursing a cup of coffee, could you? So, she compelled a gentleman to buy her a cup, feigning running late and leaving a wallet at home in order to easily cover the sudden kindness of strangers. The cup was already well on it's way to being cold and probably more nasty than it originally tasted.
Her keen senses picked up the faint traces of her doppelganger double long before the girl came jogging into view. Her pulse and heart rate were up and pounding in Katherine's ears. Right on cue, her brown eyes landed on the teenager just as she paused at the corner. Look at her, being all fit and...sweaty. Katherine's pretty face twisted into a look of disgust and she rolled her eyes. No matter what Elena did or how she did it, she would never ever be stronger than her vampire double.
Abandoning her latte in favor of better entertainment, Katherine blurred her way over to the mirrored image of herself. Ever knowing, perfect smirk, formed on her lips and she came to a perfect halt in front of Elena. Her arms folded upon her chest and she tilted her head to side, brown eyes flickering over the sweat-drenched, rather gross, teenager's jogging outfit. Aw. How cute. It was disgusting. Preppy. It made Katherine shiver. Katherine wouldn't be caught dead in something like that, it was the one obvious difference between them-their style and Katherine's lustrous curled locks where Elena's were stubbornly and dull poker straight.
"Well, well, what do we have here? Look at you, being all fit and stuff. It's rather endearing that you think all that work will matter", she clicked her tongue. "If you put more effort into other aspects of your life, like dressing, you might actually be not so boring." She shrugged her slender shoulders. "Anyway, it sounds like you are already well on your way to being a bonafide bitch, like me. Both Salvatores? Not so innocent anymore, are you Elena? Playing them both. I'd have to say, I'm not surprised-you are a Petrova."
