WHO: Lothíriel and Éowyn WHAT: Getting to know each other WHERE: Meduseld WHEN: Wednesday night WARNINGS: TBD, none expected STATUS: Ongoing/Closed
Lothíriel had been going through a lot since Éowyn had arrived, and much to her dismay, she had not been able to get to know her as well as she would have liked. Back home, they had spoken briefly once or twice, and exchanged letters on occasion, but even then, the distance was too great for any closeness.
Here, however, she had the chance to get to know the girl who was so dear to her husband, and maybe through her to come to understand the place of a woman in Rohan better even than her husband could tell her. And here, in Meduseld, where things were so very intimate, anyway, she did not see the purpose of keeping distance between them.
It was evening, and she had finished laying out the bedrolls for the night. She knew not where Éomer was at the moment, although she knew that he was somewhere about, and would be back soon. He could not stray too far from Meduseld, with his wound still making him weak. Perhaps he had gone out to check on Firefoot before bed. Aye, that was likely.
Seeing Éowyn doing the same things she was at the other end of the hall, she stood and crossed the distance, crouching down beside her.
"I have heard so much of you, but I feel I do not know you at all. May we speak a while?"
