Vinyamar is a castle built of stone. It is a very expansive settlement built on the slopes and terraces of the island of Spinning Compass, and faces the sea to the North. The main doors leading into Vinyamar face the west and can be reached by a flight of wide steps, topped by a large lintel. The main door--through which guests not arriving by sea will be funneled--leads into Turgon's Hall - a very breathtaking room lined with aisles of tall pillars supporting vaulted ceilings. There are tapestries bearing the woven tales of the elves, other paintings by artists, and statues carved from stone. The events of the night
On a dais at the Eastern end of the Hall are two High Seats - one was carved from a single stone and engraved with elvish symbols, and the other a recent addition of a similar model. They are the seats of the High King and Queen, though stand empty for the moment. Above the chairs high on the walls stand five tapestries woven with the heraldic devices of the three Sons of Finwë at Vinyamar, and the two Houses of the Edain that married into their family. Here

There is a door leading to a courtyard of stone that overlooks the sea. The court is windy and chill all throughout the day because of the sea breeze. A long stair descends the north courtyard to the seashore and has been lit with lamps to aid the guests traversing the stairs. Terraces lead down from Vinyamar to a clifftop protected by a seawall
Back inside, there are a few halls and stairways leading to the rest of the castle. Guests are permitted to take a tour at their own leisure (try not to get lost, it is a full blown castle), but the private wings of the Lords and Ladies are closed and locked. In the main hall there are two main ways - one leads to the lower chambers/bedrooms where guests are welcome to stay the night when the celebration ends. The other doorway leads to a narrow foyer that opens up to the large dining room - a vast chamber decorated with hundreds of candles and low glowing elvish lamps. There are three long tables, one at the head of the hall on a dais, and two lower tables parallel to each other, but facing the same way as the main table.
Dinner with the High ElvesGuests may arrive early to mingle and take a tour of the castle, but dinner begins promptly at 8. The guests will be led into the main dining hall by Fingon and Idril. Guests are allowed to claim chairs at any of the two lower tables while the elves and the representatives of Rohan and Gondor file upward to the dais.
No one is seated until King Fingolfin and Queen Anairë enter, at which point the elves, and other nobles present, face them and bow/curtsy. Fingolfin will escort Anairë to the dais and see that she is seated first, before sitting beside her. The guests may then sit and dinner be served.
The elves live a vegan/vegetarian life, so many of the dishes are vegan based. However, they have accorded a diet of fish and fowl to their meat eating guests. The tables are also stocked with different bottles of wine, both red and whites. Dinner will last the better part of an hour, if not slightly longer, to give time for the guests to eat their fill and chatter. When dinner ends, Fingolfin will rise and escort Anairë from the dais and lead the group to a new hall - the ballroom.
Let the dancing beginFingolfin and Anairë will be seated and wait for the rest of the guests to make their way into the ballroom. Once everyone is assembled the music will begin, and the King and Queen will rise for the first dance. They will then leave off for Andreth and Aegnor, and everyone else may join them.
Now, for the fun part! We made a list of partners for everyone's first dance. You DO NOT have to participate but we thought it would be fun and offer a random--or not so random--bit of interaction. The following lists show the partnered pairs.
