Her hair was long, her limbs were white,
And fair she was and free;
And in the wind she went as light
As leaf of linden-tree.
Idril was a happy creature, in nature, there was not a lot that could drag her spirit down and indeed if something did happen to douse her bright attitude, she typically bounced back within a couple of days. The same attitude applied to her now, for though Tuor was lying abed in a hospital recovering from grievous wounds, she was out and about with the intent to pick flowers to bring back to him. In all honesty he didn't care for the flowers, but she knew that he would humor her and let her decorate the rooms for the cheer it brought along with it. Humming to herself, Idril danced barefoot across the hill top, and spun full circle, her golden hair whipping around like the rays of the sun, bright and brilliant. She stopped and threw herself backward into the field, smiling delightedly as the flowers bloomed around her, brought from their slow budding into full bloom at her calling.
But of course the true reason for being in the field at all was mixed with a secondary purpose, and that was the meeting with Elrond. Idril pushed herself to sitting, her dress flowing about her legs loosely as she touched her knees together and bent forward to pluck the blooms from the ground.
"Forgive me," she told each in turn, "your voices shall always be remembered, if not this day or individually, at least in whole with all the spirits of the earth." And thanking them, she stood and moved about on lightly dancing feet to begin again, her eyes bright and fair, reflecting the vitality of the spirit inside of her. But her dancing stopped and she spun about to lay her grey eyes upon another. She was not the least bit shy to be caught dancing, but laughed happily and pressed forward.
"How long have I kept you waiting?"
