WHO: Aikanáro and OPEN! WHERE: On the streets WHAT: Patrolling, thinking, etc. WHEN: Monday morning WARNINGS: None expected/TBD STATUS: OPEN/Ongoing
Monday morning found Aikanáro back on the streets of the town, sword in his hand. As per the king's orders, he and the rest of the elves (save King Ñolofinwë and his queen) had come back to do what they could to help in this time of need. Aikanáro was happily willing to do so. Unlike many of the others, he held no ill-will against the humans. Far from it! His beloved wife was human. Part of him wished that at this moment he could be with her, making sure she was safe and taken care of - but his king had ordered him here, and logically he knew very well that she was perfectly safe where she was.
So he walked slowly up and down the streets, his eyes and ears open for whatever might be near. He had not been here long enough to know for certain what it was the residents were so terrified of - but the whispers and comments in the dark of night had told him enough that he was wary indeed. Still, he had seen nothing out of the ordinary - for this place, anyway, which brought him some relief.
It was a lovely morning, really. Warm, full of sunshine, with a soft breeze off the sea. It would have been a lovely morning to go sea-bathing in Vinyamar.
But he would not go against the desires of his king, and as the Elf Lord had said, they were here representing not just themselves and their families, but all of the Eldar. And Aikanáro was not about to let down his entire species.
Reaching the park, he took a few steps off his path and placed his hand on the bark of the nearest tree, closing his eyes as his ears tipped slightly in concentration. Perhaps the trees would know something that the rest of them did not - it would never hurt to ask, at least.
