She did laugh a little at that--regardless of what she knew him to be capable of, she did know he kept his word to the letter. "Yes, of course."
She stepped back just a bit, to get a proper look at his face--the eyes, those were close, and she supposed if she painted the rest and squinted, she could see the imp she'd fallen for. "I'd been hoping, every time a lot of new people came, that you'd--but I never expected it'd be like this," she bit her lip, fingertips hesitantly touching along his temple. "But, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. The island hadn't played any of its other tricks on me yet, it was only a matter of time before it did something to throw me, and this is far preferrable to what it's done to other people."
