Who: Scott and OPEN What: Scott finds himself in someone else's dream When: Night of October 1 Where: Someone else's mind
The first thing Scott noticed was that he didn't know where he was. Jean had often teased him about how well he could find his way around. Even places he hadn't been in years, he could find his way back almost by touch, remembering to turn at a specific building or landmark. But now...he was baffled. He was certain he'd never been...wherever this was.
The next thing he noticed was that the heavy weight of his visor was gone. Eyes clenched instinctively shut as soon as the realization dawned. When one had enough power to demolish entire mountains, one didn't just cavalierly wander through the world. But he could feel none of the pressure building beneath his eyelids, and he hadn't noticed any damage before forcing his eyes shut. That's when it hit Scott; he'd seen this new place in color. Colors he hadn't seen in years, not since his mutation manifested.
Jaw clamped down tightly, adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed the lump in his throat. One eye shifted open a millimeter at a time. He was definitely seeing colors. One hand tentatively made it's way up, patting his eye area. No visor, no glasses, no powers.
