"I was starting to get the impression that there really isn't anyone in charge," he quipped with a grin. He rested a hip against the bench that Caroline was sitting, folding his arms across his stomach. He was very good at appearing casual, even when he was ready to spring to action.
Raylan gave the blonde a once over, before his eyes settled on her face. The grin was still there, but a bit more restrained than it was before. She couldn't have been a day over 16. Why, he was old enough to be her daddy. Well if that didn't just take the cake.
