Who: Caroline Forbes and Open Where: around town. When: Late Friday Morning What: On her way to the hospital Rating: PG?
After being kidnapped and tortured numerous times, Caroline had become used to having more questions than she ever had answers. At least here she wasn't being tortured and chained. She still didn't understand why she was here to begin with.
She hadn't ventured out very much. She didn't know where she was or who might be behind bringing her here. She'd spent enough of her vampire life knowing that there was always someone or something that was scarier than anything she knew. And vampires especially seemed to enjoy playing games. Werewolves too for that matter. A shudder shook through Caroline as she remembered the multiple times she had been tortured.
It was far from a happy memory and she didn't want to think about it. Caroline shook her head as if it were an Etch-a-Sketch being shaken clean. The memory faded to her subconscious as hunger poked through. She pushed herself off the bed and moved to the fridge. When she opened it she noticed that there were only two blood bags left. She grabbed one, snatching it from the shelf and sipping from the tube as if it were a straw.
After she finished that, she threw on her denim jacket and grabbed her shoulder bag. She poked her head out of her door before she left her room and made her way outside. She needed to slip back into the hospital and take a few more to replace her diminished supply.
Caroline felt a little better the moment she was in the sun. Thankfully her ring from Bonnie remained on her finger so she was able to walk in the day.
She was always trying to take in as much of her surroundings as possible. She looked down one street and thought she saw someone she knew. Using her vampire speed, she was just a few steps behind them in the blink of an eye. Caroline reached out and grabbed their shoulder.
