After travelling here, or not, actually, Isra had been caught out in her lies by Lily. It seemed this world wasn't like others. No one here was native. They'd all been brought here. And no one seemed to know where here was or how to get back from it. It was all a bit much to take in and Isra had let herself go along with Lily. Lily had been perfectly nice to her though and very accommodating. But Isra simply wasn't comfortable in the apartments. In worlds that resembled this one, or at least this part of this one, she would have avoided a place like this and found somewhere quieter to stay. Or somewhere much, much busier. Where her presence might not seem so out of place at first glance, which was all most people got. Hospitals were a favourite. On top of that, though, Isra never stayed in one place for too long, even in her home world. So after almost a week, she'd set out with the intent to not return to the apartments. At least not for a while. Until she got a little more used to things here. If that was even possible. One of the first things Isra did in any world was repack her satchel. Sometimes that required getting her hands on a pack that didn't look so out of place. In this case, though, it required finding one in the first place. She didn't even have her basics. Food, water, a cloak that passed as a blanket and a means to light a fire. So Isra had spent her day going through the stores along the street, getting her basics and even more additional items than usual. A new set of clothes, a coat, blanket, torch, knife and other bits an pieces. Once she'd finished going through the stores, collecting her spoils and the knowledge of where to get more, Isra was ready to find somewhere new to hole up for a little while. She wound up on the other side of the weird tower in a big, seemingly empty building. It housed a lot of desks and computers, and the further up she went, the more spaced out things seemed to get. She thought it mightn't be a bad place to stay. It was quiet and didn't actually seem too uncomfortable. As she explored yet another floor, though, Isra came across a room filled with supplies. She wondered if they belonged to the building or if someone else had put them there. She hadn't seen any other signs of life here. Isra snuck into the room to see if there might be anything she could use. She placed the blanket she'd been carrying aside and began to pick things up, assessing whether she needed them. the more she had with her now, the less she'd have to collect later. |
