Who? The Doctor & The Rani Where? The city streets. When? Saturday afternoon. What? Not the last of his kind, then. Rating? Moderate, perhaps. Status? Closed, ongoing.
There was something about the Island that made the Doctor feel very uneasy. At first, he'd put it down to the fact that he was trapped and TARDIS-less, something that tended to make him feel incredibly uncomfortable, but it was more than that. It wasn't just that he'd explored the area over and over in search of some kind of clue, and come up with more questions that answers. There was something else.
At first, he'd pushed it to the back of his mind. It was the island playing tricks with him mind. He'd been exploring as normal, peering into darkened stores, sonicing everything in sight. But now, his steps slowed to a stop. Standing in the middle of an empty, abandoned street, he knew that it was time to listen to the silence.
He wasn't alone- it was time that he was going to have to start accepting the impossible, because the feeling was getting stronger and stronger as something- someone- was getting closer and closer- he could feel his hearts pounding in his chest- who would it be? A stranger? He doubted it. Closer and closer- he spun on his heels, eyes growing wide as he tried to catch sight of them.
"Where are you?" he asked of the seemingly empty street, a hint of anxiety in his tone. There were plenty of Time Lords that he really didn't want to meet again.
