It had been a few days now and there was still a sizeable throng of zombies hanging out in front of the apartment buildings. There was a distinct lack of weapons on their part, it seemed. One vampire with a sword probably wasn't going to cut through them all without being overwhelmed and the one crossbow for support wasn't exactly enough. So they'd been sitting and waiting. Or at least he had been, hardly eager to start the push himself. It would come, of course.. ..And then it did. Cutler jumped up from in front of his laptop the moment the first shot rang out, making for the window where he watched a couple more of the zombies go down. Why hadn't this happened sooner? Not that cutler was unhappy with its happening now. In fact, he was very happy. So much so that he rushed to the stockpile of vodka he had for Grey and collected a bottle. Next he grabbed some wine for himself. Then he was on his way out of the apartment. The push was happening and they didn't have to be a part of it. And there was no undead first business. He didn't care if that made him a coward. He was more than happy to be a coward and remain only undead, thank you very much. Cutler bounded down the stairs, not wanting to miss too much of the show, and promptly knocked on the door to Grey's apartment. Cutler figured they could head up to the roof and watch from there. Maybe? That was the sort of thing people who lived in apartments with accessible roofs did, was it not? He really wasn't the best at the whole hanging out and drinking casually thing. At least not when it wasn't vampires and blood. He was used to wining and dining or having a quiet cup of an evening, although Thomas had seen him drinking rather broodily. He still wasn't quite at the level of recreational drinking though. But Grey might get him there. He hoped she was actually interested, if not.. as long as there was a window he could peek out every now and then, he supposed it didn't matter where he ended up. |
