Nina did smile as George approached her and really, she didn't think she was behaving unpredictably in tilting her head that little bit forward to kiss him, briefly – but a card was placed in her free hand and he moved on to Mitchell, Nina's gaze following the encounter with some ..amount of focus as George eyed Mitchell somewhat as if he were the proverbial oasis in amongst a never-ending desert.
“Thank you.” she chimed over to George as he fussed over Eve and Annie, trying not to sound confused. She did read it fondly – most definitely the sweet words of George, but his actual sentiments hadn't seemed to be quite so present. So, she hadn't written a card herself – did that make her hypocritical? No, she planned to celebrate the day. Just, not an in front of everyone else sort of way.
“I'll be a the hospital all day I imagine-” She glanced to George, brows arched in a silent questioning of his opinion. “But ..I don't mind, at all if you want to take her out for a bit to see Alex-” Alex was most certainly safe, she couldn't contract the flu, she couldn't pass it along. Nina didn't have to tell Annie to be careful, she trusted her.
