Calleigh made her way to the hospital around noon so that she could make sure she had everything set up. She arranged four gurneys so that each medical professional could take one person at a time and limit the amount of time waiting. She wasn't sure how many people would actually volunteer but it was best to be ready for a lot. Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it, she'd always said. As soon as the beds were set up with the necessary implements, she arranged for a "recovery" room with juice and cookies for after the donation process. She also made sure there was a waiting area, stocked with bottles of water, just to be on the safe side. She wanted to make sure that things ran as smoothly as possible. |
