Who: Gen and John. Where: The Mill House, Atlanta. (Current Arrowverse door). What: Showing Gen around. When: Sunday evening. Rating: TBD but swearing probably. It's John. Open: No. Status: Ongoing.
John had said to Gen that he would show her around his neck of the woods, so to speak. She wanted a tour, and so John would give her that, but it was going to start where the door opened. The Mill House. After that, they could venture out to a variety of different places. One of the old bars in Newcastle. Maybe that Indian curry place in London he used to love going to. John had a whole list of places around the world that he liked visiting when he had the chance, and he wanted to take Gen to as many of them as possible, just as soon as he had shown her the old mill.
The two of them had met up at the door and collected what they would need before venturing through together. They had both packed some things with them, knowing it wasn't going to be a short trip. John had planned on them spending the night in at least one location. He only hoped she liked it.
Outside, on the other side of the door, the sun poured through the trees around the old mill house. It was so quiet and peaceful save for the sounds of the breeze rustling through the trees. The sounds of the nearby babbling brook, flowing alongside the old mill. It was serene and soft. Just the sort of thing John found himself missing after living on the station for so long. Those little apartments just weren't quite the same as some of the places he had been able to call home in the past, but then again those places didn't have Gen. And that mattered.
John walked up to the door leading in to the Mill House and unlocked it. "Come on, love" he said, gesturing for her to follow him inside. He opened up the door and walked inside. The upstairs was deceptive. It was an old stone building with a door that was just as old. There was a small fireplace and a seating area, along with a couple of rooms sealed by closed doors. John led her towards a staircase which led down to the lower part of the mill house. The part where everything important was housed.
Down in the lower part of the mill house, there was a small kitchen. A living room area, with a coffee table and a dining table and chairs as well. There were rows and rows of bookshelves, full of strange looking books and mysterious objects. Runes and spells had been carved into the very woodwork in some places. The place was dripping in magic.
"What do you think?" he asked as they both walked out onto the wooden walkway that looked over everything below.
