Edward smiled and knelt down to pick up the basket, as she had asked. He didn't mind.
"I promise, you will be safe. You have my word" he said to her, holding the basket for her to take back. He would have carried it but he did have to control the doors and show her around. He took her other hand and led her up towards the cargo bay door. It acted as a sort of ramp, allowing things to be brought on board and stored.
He led her beyond the cargo bay, pressing his hand against a touchpad and opening up a door into a corridor. There were six doors, all leading to different rooms down the sides, and one door at the end of the hallway. Each room was sealed behind an electronically sealed door.
While normally it might have seemed quite sterile and cold, Edward had decorated so that it would feel more comfortable. He wanted something that would feel familiar. Pictures and fabrics were hung up, and rugs laid down.
"Which room would you like to see first? We have a kitchen, a few bedrooms, the engine room. The medical bay" he offered.
