A curse, as far as I know, cannot be seen in the same way."  It was a difficult line to walk.  If Malenia's world had imagining and other medical equipment, Cuddy might sound condescending.  If not, she might be adding to confusion.  "What kind of technology did your brother use in his research?" 

Cuddy thought over what Malenia was saying.  "Would it spread over all life?   Including plants and animals?"  If such a connection existed, she might know who to contact for help.
